1. Govt inks MoU with National Yuva Cooperative Society to set up 1,000 Janaushadhi Kendras

The government has signed an agreement with the National Yuva Cooperative Society to set up 1,000 Janaushadhi Kendras across the country and targets to open such medical stores in every block and gram panchayat to provide quality medicines at an affordable price.
750 Janaushadhi Kendras, providing more than 600 medicines and 150 medical devices, are operational and the target is to open 3,000 by end of this fiscal for achieving health safety.

Indian Space Research Organisation has successfully realigned the orbit of its Mars Orbiter Mission Mangalyaan.
The need for changing the orbit of Mangalyaan was felt to protect it from the long duration eclipse else the Mangalyaan’s battery capacity would have got exhausted due to lack of sun rays.
It would help to keep the power supply strong during the eclipse caused by shadow of Mars.

The US military has launched the SBIRS Geo-3 satellite using Atlas V rocket from Florida to monitor possible missile attacks.
Space-Based Infrared System, or SBIRS, is a system of satellite-mounted sensors, designed to detect missile launches in order to provide an advance warning of any imminent threat.
The Air Force fired the Geo-1 & Geo-2 satellites into space in 2011 & 2013 respectively.

Punjab Royals have bagged the Pro Wrestling League Season 2 title.
In the summit clash in New Delhi, the Punjab team defeated Haryana Hammers 5-4.
Haryana, had remained undefeated in the tournament, failed to cross the last hurdle.
The winners were presented with the Champions trophy along with a prize money of whopping 1 crore and 90 lacs.

Himachal Pradesh Government has declared Dharmasala as the second capital of the hill state with a population of about 70 lakh. Henceforth winter session of the state legislature will be held in the Dharmasala.
Earlier the city had held 12 winter Sessions of the state Assembly. Dharmasala is located in Himachal’s Kangra district near snow-clad Dhauladhar ranges. It was formerly known as Bhagsu.

The PM, Shri Narendra Modi, released a book named “The Z Factor” written by Shri Subhash Chandra.
The book is published by Harper Collins. The autobiography of Dr. Subhash Chandra is titled as “The Z Factor: My Journey as the Wrong Man at the Right Time”.
Dr Chandra, is referred as the head of Indian Media,
He revolutionized the television industry by launching the country’s first satellite Hindi channel Zee TV in 1992 and later the first private news channel, Zee News.
